My journey

This blog is a journal of my spiritual journey.  I have another blog that I was trying to make about patriotism, and family and I will still post on that site.  But, I found myself wanting to write more on my journey with Jesus.

Starting my journey

Like every walk through nature, or a race that is ran, or even a stroll out in the country with the person you love, there must be a starting place.  My starting place took place . thirty years ago while serving in the military and trying to stay connected to God, because I was raised in church.  However, I didn't know Jesus personally.  I was injured where I had both my legs partially severed, my face crushed into fifty-two pieces, and my left eye dislocated. My back was broken, and I had died for two hours.

When I died, I found myself in total darkness, more dark than I have ever experienced before in my life.  Before me stood a being which seemed to be made of light, He was the only light in that darkness.
'Now He was transfigured before them; His face shone like the sun,
and His clothes became as white as the light. '
Matthew 17:2 https://my.bible.com/bible/314/MAT.17.2

He took me back to my body, where I could hear people working around me,
surprised that I was alive again. While being medi vaced, I wasn't tied down
all the way and my back was broken. I was paralyzed for several months. I
was told I would never walk again, and I would spend my life in a convalescent
home. But I prayed to Jesus to heal and save me and a month later I walked
out of that hospital.

Thoughts

Just a few thoughts, this was just the beginning of my journey, and over the years
it seems like the path wasn't always smooth, but I stayed true to the path.
I had demons to face and sins to conquer....but the journey continues.
